  • Diesel Measles; Disease infecting Flub-A-Dub in September 1959. cured only with Caboose Cabbage.

  • King Do Do; The Martian King in 1955, October.

  • Do Nothing Machine; An invention of Flub-A-Dub.

  • Doughface Dobbins; A 1955 character that wanted to take Hobby, the pony, from DoodyVille

  • Timmy Dobbrinska; Winner of the 1955 Milwaukee, WI. Howdy Doody Look-A- Like contest.

  • Linda Dolan; 1952 I’d like Clarabell to visit contest. Clarabell visited in September.

  • Doodle; Dr. Doodle invented the anti-gravity ray in 1956.

  • Dandy Doodle; A 1955  Howdy Doody double that tried to have everyone move from DoodyVille to DandyVille

  • Double Doody; Duplicate of Howdy Doody made by Scott Brinker in 1948 that is in the Smithsonian Institute.

  • Grandpa Doody; One of Doodyville’s oldest citizens made by Margo Rose, Voice was Bob Smith.

  • Heidi Doody; Built by Margo Rose and voice by Arlene Dalton. Heidi was introduces as a stranger that saved Buffalo Bob’s life in Africa.

  • Howdy Doody; #1 The Frank Paris Howdy(January – May 1948) # 2 The Velma Dawson/Scott Binker Howdy(1948 – 1960) # 3 the revival Howdy(1976).

  • Professor Fortissmo; The world’s greatest entertainer, came to DoodyVille in May of 1956.

  • Fun House; A gallery of 8 boys and girls for the Puppet Playhouse, the earliest Peanut Gallery.

  • Frown Contest; Created by Mr. Bluster to compete with the smile contest.

  • Gus Gasbag; Maker of balloon animals in 1960. Clarabell broke them

  • Gaudschmidt Brothers; A Vaudeville act with poodles on the first Puppet Playhouse on December 27, 1947.

  • Gina Genardi; Replacement for Judy Tyler as Princess Summerfall Winterspring.

  • George Foster Peabody Award; Awarded to Buffalo Bob for the Howdy Doody Show, voted the outstanding children’s show on TV and Radio in 1948.

  • Gnik; A peddler on the 1960 show who gave Peppi Mint magic mirror.

  • The Goodbye Song; Written by Edward Kean,1950, to close each week’s programs.

  • Goola-Goola Bear; A prehistoric bear that Howdy Brings back from the North Poll.

  • Robert Goulet; Occasionally played Timber Tom, The Buffalo Bob counterpart on the Canadian Version of Howdy Doody.

  • Ben Grauer; Announcer for the NBC Toscanini Conducted Symphony Orchestra and in 1949 he swore Howdy in as President of all the kids in the United States.

  • Great Grandfather Gravity Loser; Mr. Bluster’s anti-gravity invention.

  • Gumby; first introduced on Howdy Doody in  June 1956.

  • Gumbyland; Where Gumby lived. Buffalo Bob visited in 1957.

  • Princess Haida; Played by Caryl McBain. She was the Canadian version of Princess Summerfall Winterspring.

  • Happy Harmony; A DoodyVille School teacher, played by Marilyn Patch during the 1976 series.

  • George “Gabby” Hayes; Substituted for Buffalo Bob and a frequent guest.

  • Judith Hess; Professional Name Judy Tyler Was the first Princess Summerfall Winterspring, of the Tinka-Tonka Tribe. She died in an auto accident at the age of 23.

  • Princess Hilda; Played by Maxine Miller.

  • Miss Hickenlooper; Howdy’s schoolteacher Appeared at the end of 1954.

  • Sky Highcheif; the puppeteer who manipulated the bandaged Howdy after Fran Paris withdrew his puppet from the show.

  • Hobby; A pony bought to DoodyVille by the princess.

  • Honkadoodle; A Howdy Doody invention for mother goose. When the goose quacked into it would type out the words in English.

  • Clarabell Hornblower; created in 1948. played by Bob Keeshan 1948 – 1952, Gil Lamb 1952, Robert Nicholson 1952 – 1955 and Lou Anderson 1955 – Present. Played by Alfie Scopp in the Canadian Version from November 1954.

  • Harvey Hotplate; A generous stranger in a May 1955 show.

  • The Howdy Doodlers; June 1954 musical Group.

  • Mr. Huff; Predecessor of Mr. Bluster, Managed the circus starting in February 1948.

  • It’s Howdy Doody Time; Theme song words by Edward Kearn and Bob Smith. Played to the tune of Ta-Ra-Ra-Boom-De-Ay.
